ResMed AirFit P10 Review
One of the most common questions we get from customers is “What mask should I get?” or “Is this a good mask?” It’s not surprising that there are a lot of questions about what mask to choose given that there are so many different styles and brands on the market.
To help you out, here’s our ResMed AirFit P10 review, giving you insight into what’s great and what’s not as great about this best-selling CPAP nasal pillow mask.
What is the ResMed AirFit P10?
Overall, the ResMed AirFit P10 has continued to be one of our top-selling masks for years and for good reason. The P10 has become a staple of the CPAP community due to its lightweight, minimalist design which users love.
But, that’s not the only reason why people love the P10. Here are a few other highlights:
- Simple Design
- QuietAir Technology
- Extra Stability
- Great Visibility
- QuickFit Headgear
Now, we’ll take a deeper dive into each of these features, and how they could improve your CPAP therapy experience.
What’s Great About the ResMed AirFit P10
1. Simple Design
Overall, people love the lightweight, minimalist design of the P10. The mask weighs in at only 1.6 oz, making it one of the lightest masks available so you hardly notice that it’s on while sleeping.
|On top of that, the minimalist design of this mask limits the amount of facial contact that it has with your skin. By doing this, the mask helps to prevent redness and irritation that may occur while wearing bulkier masks.|
2. QuietAir Technology
One of the best features of the ResMed AirFit P10 is it’s QuietAir Technology. This technology is featured in the mesh vents located at the front of the mask. These vents diffuse the air being exhaled throughout the night.
Because of this, the P10 is one of the quietest masks on the market, giving you the peace and quiet that you need to get a good night of sleep.
3. Extra Stability
Unlike other nasal masks, the AirFit P10 has nasal prongs which go comfortably into your nostrils and give you extra stability. These prongs help to maintain a better seal, ensuring that you’re getting the proper pressure level that you need.
So, even if you move around at night, you can count on your P10 to stay in place.
4. Great Visibility
Another benefit of the minimalist mask design for the AirFit P10 is that it gives users a wide field of vision. If you like to read or watch TV before bed, the AirFit P10 is a great option for you.
5. QuickFit Headgear
Finally, the P10 also features a QuickFit Headgear which makes CPAP therapy easy and comfortable for its users. The mask is labeled for easy placement on your face, and only has three parts, making it easy to take apart and clean.
Additionally, the headgear is made of a stretchy, comfortable fabric which makes it extra comfortable.
What’s Not as Great
1. Headgear Can Stretch Out
One downside of the AirFit P10 is that the headgear can begin to stretch out a bit before the normal 6-month replacement mark. One of the reasons for this is that the mask is meant to be one size fits all, so the stretchable headgear sometimes wears down prematurely. Fortunately, you can buy headgear clips to tighten the elastic headgear if needed.
2. Difficult to Assemble
One thing that a lot of customers have struggled with is assembling the mask properly. Although that can be difficult, Easy Breathe includes assembly instructions in the box and has video tutorials to help users put the P10 together.
